On Saturday, 24th of July, The Catalan National Assembly and the Hirak Rif Movement in Catalonia, with the collaboration of CIEMEN, are organizing a conference on the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of the Rif, to carry out a retrospective and a current look to the struggle for the national rights of the Riffian and Catalan peoples.

With the participation of activists and relatives of prisoners and victims of the Moroccan repression in Rif, the historian and writer Ricard de Vargas, and Assemblea President Elisenda Paluzie. The event will be presented and moderated by Sílvio Falcón, board member of CIEMEN.

In order to attend to the event, pre-registration is required by sending an e-mail to international@assemblea.cat, providing a name, surname and ID or Passport number.

The language of the event will be Catalan.
